Without it, and with rates and expectations being what they are, it would be difficult to work efficiently enough, at least some of the time. Though the product is intended for general use, it really is the gold standard for translators – at least in the languages I work with – in particular due to the easy integration with various CAT tools. For all it offers, the price is more than worth it.
Pros:
DeepL not only produces great output, but it does a great job of parsing and adapting to context. As such, unlike some other tools, it actually helps translators do their jobs better – not just faster. It has improved over time, proving that the machine learning model does work for MT.
Cons:

For this review, I am using Deepl to write the pros I’m not a native speaker I scratch a lot in English so I need to use tools to not get stuck part of my income comes from writing and Deepl is the one I use the most, it suits me perfectly well, I can choose the way it is spoken in other regions the same language, amazing tool.
Cons:
I think that Deepl’s design is amazing, and so they should not limit themselves in their functions, even in the Pro plan they have limitations, I use Grammarly as an example, they can go further otherwise, we will have to go to Grammarly again after using Deepl, but if they put functions that keep us in Deepl it will be great.

They have a lot of useless people working for this team that I don’t even know exactly why they exist. I am paying their salary for what? Any LLM does a better job. DeepL could at least keep the costs low but they are greedy. Greedy and useless. Any LLM has already surpassed it in translation quality. What do you like best about DeepL?
What I like best about DeepL is that, with its Widows app, it gives me the ability to edit translations on the go. Thus, DeepL gives me a quite decent baseline translation, which I can change word-by-word and render the text compatible with any style I like. So, ultimately, it is me who does the translation but not some dull translation AI, making DeepL a wonderful tool for translators. It has helped me gain significant speed. I love DeepL.
