I have been working on a simple project. As I did not want to waste my time, I looked for software or AI’s to turn my YouTube video into text. Thus, I came across Notta.AI. I was already pleased by the simple-looking design. Everything was well-placed, and I had no trouble navigating the website. I did my work and accidentally started the free trial for a subscription. The free trial lasts 3 days, which for some (me included) seems short, but enough to take advantage of and not rip off the company. They do not even HAVE to do a free trial, so I was pleased to have this opportunity. 120 minutes in the free version is more than enough for most. Sadly, I did not cancel my subscription in time, so I paid the money for it. Upon further contact with the support team, I described to them the situation I was in. The replay needed some time (5 days or so) until I got my money. It is not something they HAVE to do because everything was “legitimate,” but they still did it, and I am very grateful for it. Many people here think they’ve been scammed because they didn’t get a replay instantly. But take your time, and you will get an answer. Date of experience:

There definitely needs to be a way where I can paste in a link Zoom/meeting link on a mobile device to join a call that I was invited to but could not attend. Notta is an excellent platform. I’ve used it for several transcriptions and found it overall to provide accurate answers. What’s more, it’s fast, and there are tons of tools that you can use on the site to tweak and edit the transcription.
My only complaint is that the site doesn’t automatically show up in English so I have to click the little ‘English’ button at the top of the page and switch it every time I want to log in. Still, even the translation from Japanese is excellent with no Google Translate type errors.
Overall it’s a great platform that I’d recommend for anyone needing in-depth editing tools or just a quick transcription. Date of experience:

I bought the pro version with 50% discount for educators and students. This transcription tool is very useful for my research activities. I use it for french audio. it does a really good job, has a bit of understandable difficulty to write people’s names or cities, but apart from that, if the audio is good it is pretty accurate. It is very fast, convenient and intuitive. It provides additionally a summary for every text generated. Another great feature is to be able to play the audio of paragraphs independently and to follow the transcribed text. That has enabled me to review and correct mistakes quite easily.
Another great point is that for every question I had, the notta support team responded very quickly.
Finally, last but not least the value you get for the price is very competitive. I benchmarked a few other platforms, and they didn’t match in terms of pricing. Date of experience:

Only 5 mins available with the rest of the minutes being available once you provide them with your credit card details at which point they will bill you for the entire year and you cannot claim a refund.
They advertise it as being capable of medical transcription – outright lie! Avoid, avoid avoid at all costs.
It cannot transcribe medical terminology and it was a joke when I tried – unfit for purpose.
Wasted $90.00 for a an app that is useless.
