One of the WORST experiences I've ever had with a software. They need to change their name to "YouWillNeverGetAReply.io"

One of the WORST experiences I’ve ever had with a software. They need to change their name to “YouWillNeverGetAReply.io”
If anyone is considering using Reply.io I would tell you to run.
I run a 7-figure marketing Agency and cold email had been our #1 outlet for the last 3 years.
Reply.io is horrible.
First off, they’ll probably convince you to purchase their annual contract because they know if you were going to pay monthly their churn would be so high they’d be out of business.
Second, the platform is SO overly complex for absolutely no reason & functions the polar opposite of how other cold email platforms work in the WORST way.
We went over 5 months where we had thousand of emails sent and not a single meeting booked.
Understanding Reply.io isn’t responsible for bad email scripts, I decided to split-test the SAME email scripts & sequences with my VAs through gmail…
And in 2 weeks of manually sending (from the same email accounts as well) I was able to generate more bookings than Reply.io “amazing sending system” could generate over 5 months…
The only thing this software could do right was keep my inboxes warm in mailtoaster.
After I used the software for 6 months, had 0 results, and was able to show that we were booking meetings on other sources with the same scripts, I asked the reply.io team to refund the remainder of my payment for the next 6 months.
– Which to me felt generous considering I already burned $1,000 using their software…
And of course, after 14 emails, a 30-minute call where the head of customer success “reviewed” my account.
They then went 2 weeks without responding to me and so after I followed up again, I received the long-winded email that in short reads
“Nope. Sorry to hear our software sucks. We’re going to keep your payment. Thanks”
TLDR;
If you want to:
Set your money on fire
Waste hours of your time
Get 0 replies or bookings

It has a ton of great features, some I didn’t even realize that would interest me. I wanted to use this to send emails out to a list of leads I purchased without adding to my regular email marketing subscription plan. It was fairly easy to set up and has more options I realize I could try out too. I’m interested in checking out the LinkedIn feature because I know that would be really beneficial to my business. What do you dislike about Reply?
The pricing is a little higher than I was hoping to pay. It also took me a little bit to figure out how to set everything up. Some settings are default to zero which I didn’t realize so I had to troubleshoot to figure out why my emails weren’t sending. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Reply solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me reach out to a mass of people in the click of a button without having to pay for all of these leads being added to my regular email marketing tool. I am able to send out email communication to cold, unidentified leads with a secure way and allowing ease for people to unsubscribe if they want or learn more. Plus, one of the hardest things as a solopreneur is that I don’t have time to cold call a huge list of leads. With this tool, I don’t have to worry about figuring out how to cold call or to have the time to do so, I can email all of these people instead with intentional content that will do the same and save me loads of time. I really liked that when setting up the email sequence, it gave me a score rating on each piece of it to see whether someone would open the email or even reply to it and what kind of success rating the software gave the email I wrote. It really helped me figure out what to say because I was going to write an email like I do to my normal email list and it highly suggested that I don’t do that. A few of the top features: -Delivery based on prospect’s time zone -A/B testing -Advanced statistics and reporting -Email throttling limits (i.e., sending amounts and time between each email being sent) -Super fast responses from the support team
Cons:
Reply can be difficult to get started with. Especially when compared with other sending softwares, the number of features can be overwhelming. I would recommend Reply for anyone who really wants to dive into the world of email marketing, but for newcomers, I would suggest other options.

I have never used cold outbound email before. I find out about reply.io through youtube, and then gave a try. It was quite easy to setup, the interface is fast and user friendly, and was able to setup everything easily. They also have premade templates, but usually I will use claude to write the outbounds email. They have many useful functions. One particular I like about reply.io is their email databse. You can use it to search for contacts, and then add to sequence easily without hassle.
They also have robust feature to control email sending, so that your emails will not get flagged as spam. For new users like me, it was very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Reply integrates well with our CRM too Flexible to add/delete different email addresses Roadmap: Product has improved in year we’ve been using it (example: Outbox report on schedule/# of emails being sent in future)
Cons:
Very little dislikes at all. Maybe some small tweak to the UX or some reports I only look at infrequently….but definitely nothing material.

Huge functionality is definitely a plus. You could configure emails at any stage and compare to any companies in a market they offer a lot more for the same value. Also, they have the best support I have ever experienced in SaaS. I wrote to them at 8 am and 10 pm and always reply time was less than 3 minutes, and information that they provided was sufficient.
Cons:
Bugs, server outages, website slowness. Reply team add a huge amount of new functions to their app, but they don’t test it properly sometimes that creates a number of bugs. Also, their website is slowly sometimes and we faced some database issues when Reply faced a server migration. This is not something that is good on Prod server :(

1. Customer Support – I compare these guys to Chick-Fil-A – tremendous customer service, fast and responsive team, insightful, HUMAN, and are always accessible for questions. I think I have asked them 20+ questions over the last two months and they have been fast to answer and with easy-to-understand instructions
2. The agency model is easy to use – You can toggle between accounts with just a click of a mouse. It’s super simple and easy to use.
3. The UX makes it easy to click around and set things up quickly
4. It takes me less than 48 hours to on-board a client, Reply makes it easy for me!

What do you dislike about Reply?
1. Confusing naming conventions – here is an example: they have a tab called data within my outreach. One would assume that’s data about my outreach (how many emails I have sent, etc.) Nope. It’s about using Reply to find additional leads.
2. I use Gmail/Google Meet for my business – there is not an integration to connect my calendar to Reply. Also, the only option is Zoom.
3. The LinkedIn accounts tab lacks information on how it works and how to use it. I have no idea the use case for this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pros:
I’ve generated a lot of business using this application. It’s kind of my software MVP. I’ve also really enjoyed the customer service – the team here is responsive, kind/patient, and knowledgeable.
Cons:
No cons at this time. I might like it if I did not have a limit on how many emails I can send, but that would cost a bit more, so that’s more an issue with my own budget than the system – this thing has paid for itself multiple times over., so I really should just allocate more money towards it to increase my limit.
