What do you like best about Writer?
The comprehensive style guide builder is by far my favorite feature. As an agency copywriter, part of my responsibility is ensuring all content we produce for our own website and for our clients is consistent. That means I have to be able to catch off-brand phrases and words quickly. The terms feature is great for that. Also, the built-in inclusive language detector is great. The fact that it works right in the Google workspace is huge for me and my agency since that’s our platform of choice.
The summary tools have also come in quite handy. My agency has a lot of client meetings and team brainstorming sessions, and being able to summarize those meetings is a real time-saver.
The proprietary LLM for Writer was a great selling point. I really appreciate that it did not use copyrighted material in its dataset. There’s an ethical, humanistic value to that.
Lastly, the AI chatbot feature is about on par with that of larger platforms and is helpful for devising subject lines, headings, outlines, doing research, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Writer?
It would be the ultimate marketing agency copywriter tool if it allowed me to create different style guides for our different clients. Switching between different voices can be a challenge, and being able to select different style guides would accelerate my work.
The limits on some of the features seem a little spartan. Especially the summary features.
More templates would be very valuable, too. Jasper AI, for example, has templates for just about every possible copywriting deliverable, from ads and social media posts to emails with different conversion structures.

The seamless integration with Outlook, Word and Chrome has helped our team stay consistent when writing across multiple platroms. “Good, but needs work”
Overall:
It’s too early to give a solid opinion about my experience with Qordoba, having only used it for about a month and not having had an opportunity to use the features at length. So far, I like it, and the features I have tried have worked rather well so far.
Pros:
The customizability of the style guide and the power of the plug-in text editor (much better and more accurate than Grammarly) is worth the price of admission alone. It’s so great to finally have a software that will allow you to create your own rules for editing copy and content across platforms without having to refer back to a physical document every time. Makes developing a brand voice and training others on brand voice MUCH easier.
Cons:
The software UI is a little confusing at first, and it was difficult to figure out what exactly to do at first. It wasn’t until I spoke with a customer support representative that I finally figured out what I needed to do to create rules and understand the difference between the Writing Style and Grammar tools. I don’t think the software itself does a good enough job explaining how to use the more definitive features without getting on the phone with someone.

The Twitter Dev team is as excited as any team at Twitter about the efficiencies Qordoba offers. At Twitter, we’re using the Qordoba API to integrate Qordoba with our proprietary strings management platform. Content strategists can now write, score, revise, request feedback and approval, and select to complete a string, all within the platform. With a status of Complete, the Qordoba API then pushes the strings to our proprietary strings management platform, which in turn pushes strings to our production environments, slashing the amount of time engineers spend writing, updating, and wrangling the strings in the code. It’s a seamless way to keep my writing on-brand at all times. And, Writer is always handy to help improve my words by simplifying or revising into a different tone of voice.
I keep the Write Chrome extension and the Writer Mac app on 24/7, so it keeps my writing strong and crisp every time I open my MacBook Pro.
