Pitch review summary

3.9

Based on 81 reviews online

Pros

Many appreciate Pitch for its ease of use, collaboration features, and a wide selection of professional templates. People also commend the seamless integration with other tools and the frequent updates that continuously enhance the platform.

Cons

Some reviews highlight frustration with basic functionality issues, such as text formatting and alignment, missing template options, and lack of certain features people expect from presentation software. There are also complaints about the difficulty of exporting presentations and integration shortcomings.

Ease of Use

People find Pitch incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to create stunning presentations without much effort.

Basic Functionality Issues

Certain functions like text resizing, alignment, and importing/exporting are not as smooth or intuitive, causing frustration and extra work.

Pitch is extremely easy to use and, thanks to its amazing templates, my presentations look beautiful as they were designed by designers.
Basic formatting is harder, takes longer and has fewer options. I'm unclear whether it's by design or a long term bug.

Professional Templates

The high-quality templates save time and provide polished and professional presentations, which are well-received by clients and colleagues.

Feature Limitations

The absence of some features like smart objects, curve shapes, and detailed diagram options hampers the full potential of the tool.

The templates are spectacular! These, alone, saved me 100+ hours of work.
It lacks very basic functionality that I've been spoiled by PowerPoint and Slides for years. Examples include creating process flow diagrams and other smart objects is very clunky/manual with no snapping into place and minimal options for connectors.

Collaboration Features

Pitch’s collaboration tools, including real-time editing and comment resolution, make team projects straightforward and efficient.

Exporting Difficulties

People find the exporting process to be inconvenient, especially for non-paying users, which affects the usability of the slides created.

The ease of collaboration is my favorite part of Pitch. Our team has beautiful templates that make it easy to function within our individual roles.
Exporting on Pitch is a headache. If you don't pay you can't export your slideshow which makes Google Slides, Canva and Keynote a lot more attractive to businesses.

Integrations and Tools

Integration with tools like Unsplash and Giphy, as well as features for indicating slide status, significantly enhance the presentation creation process.

Limited Template Variety

There are not enough templates to cover all specific needs yet, although new ones are frequently added.

Pitch has an Unsplash image search. Pitch is such the best.
By now there aren't too many templates. So for very specific types of presentations, there might not be one yet.

Frequent Updates

People appreciate the constant improvements and new features that align with their needs, which keeps the platform up-to-date and reliable.

Instability and Performance

Some have reported issues with instability and performance that need addressing, such as slow load times and occasional bugs.

It's slick, intuitive, and grows organically. I LOVE logging in each week and getting a product update. It's always a meaty one.
It is also very slow. Currently not solving anything but giving myself a headache trying to use this new deck tool when I could just use what already works.

Overall:
Pitch is a great product for internal and external comms, creating presentation that look professional and slick. It’s super easy to use and gets great feedback from the team.
Pros:
I love pitch for how easy it is to create a smart, polished-looking presentation. You can drag/drop elements easily and the selection to choose from all look great and tied together. It handles data well and creates smart-looking visuals. It’s easy to collaborate on and I enjoy the tools to indicate which slides are in progress or done. We use Pitch for our weekly all hands meeting and the team love it.
Cons:
There’s really nothing I dislike about Pitch. There are some extra features I’d love to see added but there’s nothing in the existing product that I think doesn’t work or meet my expectations.
Switched From:
Google Slides
Reasons for Switching to Pitch:
Pitch is more intuitive and the end result is more consistent and polished-looking.

Overall:
Pitch is the next step in tooling for presentation design. Our agency specializes in making decks all day, and tools like Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides all have their benefits, but they especially all have downsides. Pitch is the closest thing to a perfect tool that we’ve come across, and we keep converting our clients too.
Pros:
First off, I’m a presentation designer and offer it as a service of my design agency, so I spend a huge amount of my time using presentation tools and have experience using all of them. High-quality templates that look great and are easy to use. Plus there are enough design “guardrails” that help keep your slides looking great, but not too restrictive that they block any design you’re trying to pull off.
Cons:
The only downside to Pitch is pretty temporary! I’m currently using it in beta, and until public launch you have to invite someone outside of your company domain to Pitch for them to be able to use it. This problem disappears once they launch, so it’s pretty minor!
Alternatives Considered:
Figma
Reasons for Choosing Pitch:
Figma is also a good presentation tool, but the barrier to entry for non-designers is too high. Pitch is accessible to everyone, and has similar levels of control and design-focus that Figma offers, but in a way to non-designers will want to use.
Switched From:
Google Slides
Reasons for Switching to Pitch:
Pitch’s beta program opened up more spots to allow us in. That was the only blocker for us from switching sooner.

Overall:
100% delighted. I have told 20+ people about this tool already. I’ve saved well over 100 hours worth of work, using this new ( exceptional ) tool. I’ve tried Slidebean, Canva, PowerPoint, and Google Slides. Pitch’s tool is 10X better than any other competitor in the market.
Pros:
The templates are spectacular! These, alone, saved me 100+ hours of work. The integration of graphics, photos, icons, and logos, all embedded in the platform, saves me time. I no longer have to search google for the right images. They are at my fingertips. The graphing tool is incredibly easy to use. No more wasted hours, trying to build a simple “up and to the right” graph. It’s a direct import, straight from your excel file. Pitch is the best product on the market..! Period. Full Stop.
Cons:
The cons are pretty minimal. Their customer support is spectacular. I know, because I asked them for a feature, and they are already working on it. The con that I see so far; Pitch’s graphic shapes are pretty slim. There is not much variety. I would like more “arrows” and other shapes, typically found in PowerPoint.
Alternatives Considered:
Microsoft PowerPoint
,
Google Slides
,
Canva
and
Slidebean
Reasons for Choosing Pitch:
My “Pitch” slides have a professional look and feel, that the other competitors lack. The slide templates give instant credibility to the vision I am creating and helps me stand out. Investors -love- the look and professionalism of my slides.
Switched From:
Microsoft PowerPoint
Reasons for Switching to Pitch:
Because the other tools suck… “Canva” pitch deck looks like a 15-year-old high school student made it. “PowerPoint” is 30+ years old… and looks like it. “Google Slides” has the same problems PowerPoint has. (Yawn) “SlideBean” is a useful tool, but it’s cumbersome and difficult (& expensive ) to use.

Great overall exprience.
Pros:
The best thing is their focus on design – helps anyone create a stunning presentation without much effort. Other things like templates, presentation styles, and collaborative features vastly improve workflows compared to anything that’s out there.
Cons:
Nothing urgent or critical. They recently launched the Google Sheets and Analytics integration, which is what I’d been waiting for. I hope there are more such integrations in the future.

Overall:
Overall, I would say they have a big potential and doing some amazing things. If I could save it from my competitors, I would try but team deserve growth and appreciation. We love it.
Pros:
We have been using it from last 9 months and it’s truly a game changer for us. This product will replace one of the most dominating presentation software in market very soon. I personally like the UI/UX along with templates and options to customisation with almost everything you can think. Charts building and team collaboration is one of the mostly liked feature by us.
Cons:
As of now, we didn’t see anything that we don’t like. The web version was bit unstable lately but that was due to browser issue which we got to know later. Support is helpful enough to guide on issues.

Reasons for Switching to Pitch:

What do you like best about Pitch?
The ability to customize slides in seconds is unreal. You can make something that looks like it took hours in minutes. The ability to collaborate and your team add or edit in real time makes the process a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Pitch?
I have yet to find something I dislike about pitch – and I truly mean that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Pitch solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to make presentations that look amazing and professional. Things like Canva for presentations always look a little unprofessional and amateur. Pitch looks better than any other presentation tool I’ve used or seen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Pitch?
So much easier to make customized, attractive decks than google slides or ppt. It’s easier to use custom fonts and to set templates and the grid makes a much more visually appealing slide than other tools. The project management features are a nice touch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Pitch?
Not much! The only thing is that download files are huge and it’d be nice if they had an adobe-like file size reducer. Some features like photo editing are limited in the name of ease, but if you’re using highly edited photos or weird shapes, chances are you’re already using a different design tool anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Pitch solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it super easy and fast to build new decks using our own branding and even saves regularly used slides/templates so that decks come together seamlessly. The presentation tools are helpful but since it’s easy to download it means that the deck isn’t just stuck in the app, and it’s easy to share. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Pitch?
The ease of collaboration is my favorite part of Pitch. Our team has beautiful templates that make it easy to function within our individual roles. It’s also easy to embed various resources we need in our customer-facing work (i.e., Looms). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Pitch?
We’re not on the pro plan, so our functionality is likely limited. I would love it if we had the budget to take full advantage of the tooling. Though I’m not entirely sure on what the additional benefits would be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Pitch solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Pitch primarily to facilitate team impact discovery sessions (enablement training). The UI is extremely user-friendly and helps us tell better stories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Pitch?
I like best that the tool is easy to use, has an effective UI, and allows me to collaborate with my team easily. I can also create project plans and deliver them quickly. I can integrate data, add stunning designs, and level-up my daily presentations. Its UI is super clean and it allows me to edit everything on my screen with just one toolbar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Pitch?
The number of designs and features offered by Pitch is excellent. However, they can level up their game by providing a strong visual design of their overall platform. Additionally. if they can provide live chat support, it would be useful for users who are not tech-savvy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Pitch solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s a collaborative presentation platform, that makes team meetings like All-hands quite easy. I can even create my own brand toolkit and always reuse it for all my organization’s presentations. It is also integrated with tools like Unsplash and Giphy which allows to me quickly choose any images that I want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The idea is good and could be a really useful tool but the software and execution is very poor. Customer service is also poor they take such a long time to reply, by then I found better websites, the how-to guides are poorly written and do not provide any help. I screenshotted all the pages of the template I wanted to use and created it myself in PowerPoint in less than 30 mins. I now have the design I wanted but am able to use it in an easier to use straight forward software. Pitch.com has way too may limitations. Date of experience:

Overall

Pitch stands out for its ease of use, professional templates, and excellent collaboration tools. It makes creating visually appealing presentations a breeze, even for non-designers, and integrates well with other tools. Furthermore, frequent updates ensure continuous improvement, addressing user needs effectively. However, you might run into basic functionality issues like text formatting and alignment. The export process can be a hassle, especially if you are on a free plan. Additionally, while the template library is growing, it may still lack specific designs for some needs. Instabilities and performance issues are also concerns for some. Overall, if you prioritize ease of collaboration and professional looks, Pitch is a promising tool, but be prepared for potential feature limitations and export hassles. The overall sentiment from users seems to be positive despite some mentioned drawbacks.
