I was among the first people to test Midjourney (back when there were still free trial periods) and I have been watching this company ever since. MJ is currently being sued by a number of artists and other companies for using tons of stolen images to train their AI. They created a list of thousands of artists’ names, living people who have been reduced to styles. My own experiments show you can easily create plagiaristic images without instructing the AI to do so. And if you do, well you are liable, because by agreeing to their ToS you accept that everything illegal their AI might do is completely your fault. Speaking of their ToS, it literally (!) threatened users with “We’ll come find you” and “We might also do other stuff” to you. Date of experience:

I have tried the free trial of Midjourney when they offered it for a weekend. I loved the free trial so I decided to buy a Standard subscription for $30, which has 15 fast hours and access to Relax mode.
I enjoyed the capabilities of v5 which was better than v4 when I compared it. I like the realism of Midjourney and how easy it was to get started. They have a Docs to explain how to get started.
If you want to save your fast hours or you are going away but want to make some images, I highly recommend that you use Relax mode. This will allow you to conserve your fast hours so it will last the month.
I highly recommend using Midjourney for AI art. It’s better than Stable Diffusion in my opinion. Date of experience:

I have spent about 6 hours trying to talk to Mods on discord, completing their Google Form (with no response) and now emailing the newly implemented billing email. I think the problem originate in having a discord account which has become decoupled from the Midjourney system. So there is a credit card that’s getting billed that I can’t access.
