What do you like best about Grammarly?
It’s a valuable learning tool, It is very oriented with explanation/ It can adjust word, choice or sentence structure, give it a proper tone with different kind of suggestions. It ca work with different platforms that make it easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Grammarly?
I think sometimes it is very aggressive regarding correcting something or make it better, it dose not need that much correction, for example it recommends formality or clarity which both are correct in the context. Also it makes us confused or distracted as it shows those correction with red line. Maybe it can make difference between having them with red line or blue line for not serouse correctib, sometime it dose not work in the same platform that it was working, for example I have opened different tab in Asana, or teams, then it works sometime and dose not work somewhere else.
also sometime it repeats the same choice thousands of time, we want to have some words in a way that we prefer for example a shortname, and it’s not that smart to not to suggest each time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to thing simple errors. For example some tyop things or punctuation mistakes, those that are easy to overlook.
I love working with it when my content is long and with a lot of details and it can organized them and sometime categorize them to make it clear, clean and right to the point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Grammarly?
This product significantly speeds up your writing, enhances its quality, and simplifies the process of responding to long email threads. It’s incredibly easy to set up, and once you do, you’ll find yourself using it all the time. Compared to its competitors, this product stands out as one of the best. It’s non-platform dependent, non-service dependent, and remains very reasonably priced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Grammarly?
While some suggestions may seem unnecessary or repetitive, it’s important to note that the focus on independent clauses can sometimes limit the overall effectiveness. Additionally, the ability to adapt tone and align with your unique style may not always be dependable, even with experience, time and samples. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Grammarly solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product provides a fast and effective way to check for errors, enhance your writing, and build on the framework of ideas you have already developed. However, I still lack experience with the new tools that track usage, manage copyright, and prevent plagiarism. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Cultured Communication — A Community Manager’s Right-Hand Man”
Overall:
My overall experience with Grammarly Business has been positive. It streamlined our content review process, ensuring that everything we put out—whether internal or external—was polished and professional. As the community engagement manager, I especially appreciated how it helped maintain consistency in our communications across the board. The tool saved us time and reduced errors, though we still had to make sure it aligned with our brand’s unique voice. Overall, it was a valuable asset that enhanced the quality of our writing while allowing us to stay authentic to our community.
Pros:
What I liked most about Grammarly Business was how seamlessly it integrated into our communication process, ensuring that every message we send out is clear, professional, and on-brand. As a community manager for multiple brands, it’s crucial for me to maintain a consistent tone and engage with our audience effectively. Grammarly Business helped elevate our team’s writing, saving us time while maintaining authenticity, which is key in building trust and fostering a strong sense of community.
Cons:
What I liked least about Grammarly Business was that while it’s great for catching general grammar issues, it sometimes suggested changes that didn’t quite align with the tone or voice we use in our community engagement efforts. In some cases, it would recommend more formal wording when we intentionally want to keep things casual and approachable. It’s useful, but we had to double-check certain suggestions to ensure they fit our brand’s personality and vibe.

“A must-have writing aid”
Overall:
Grammarly is so much more than a spelling & grammar aid. It is a personal writing coach that even has value when writing in your native language.
Pros:
My job requires me to communicate in US English, which is not my native language. I’m also used to British English. In a professional customer-facing context, getting the spelling and grammar right and writing concisely, clearly, and vividly is essential. Grammarly helps me to do that. Gammarly works for everything you type, including web and desktop applications. The suggestions are spot-on. Not only does it improve my writing, but I also develop my English skills. The desired writing style can be meticulously tweaked in the Preferences section. The Gen AI feature comes up with useful suggestions.
Cons:
Nothing noteworthy, really. Sometimes, Grammarly improves its own suggested edits, which can be annoying from a usability perspective. Also, markup may get lost if a text is rewritten. These are just minor things.

“Could benefit from specialization”
Overall:
If Grammarly offered a one-time payment for a lifetime subscription and a more seamless integration with MS Word, I might consider purchasing it again.
Pros:
Grammarly’s interfaces and online presence are bright, friendly, and welcoming. I’ve followed their blogs for years and love the tone checker in their free Chrome extension—what an interesting idea! Grammarly generally feels more “fun” than its competitors, so I can see it being welcome in teaching environments.
Cons:
I feel as if I’m constantly seeing updates about new services or functionality from Grammarly—which would be great, if they worked out the kinks in their existing products. Grammarly flags non-errors as problematic much more often than its competitors, is more likely to make suggestions that actually take away from the quality of a piece of writing if users blindly accept them, and cannot be run on longer documents in Microsoft Word, making it impractical for use with longer reports or book-length projects.
Switched From:
ProWritingAid
Reasons for Switching to Grammarly Business:
My ProWritingAid trial had expired. Unfortunately, however, I did end up switching back to ProWritingAid, as Grammarly did not meet my needs.

Overall

Grammarly impresses with its real-time grammar and spelling corrections, making it a go-to tool for many. Its intuitive interface and broad integration across platforms enhance usability, encouraging use for both personal and professional writing needs. The tool shines by adapting writing for different audiences and contexts, which is especially useful for non-native speakers. However, you should be ready for potentially aggressive suggestions that might not fit your writing style perfectly. Some find the premium cost steep, particularly for smaller teams. Technical hiccups and limitations like language support and offline use can slightly mar the experience. Overall, Grammarly proves effective for enhancing writing quality, but weigh its cost against your needs. If polishing your grammar and style across multiple platforms is of high importance to you, the positive sentiment in reviews suggests it’s an investment worth considering.
